Preparing for the new year Pt 4
Hello Nation Builder,
It’s the last newsletter for the year, and I’m excited to connect with you once more.
Thank you for being a part of Builders Connect and for always reading. I want to believe the Mentoring Mondays newsletter has blessed you in some way. Please share your thoughts and any changes you’d love us to make in the new year.
In the last few weeks, we’ve been on the series, “Preparing for the New Year.”
As Nation Builders, it’s essential to end the year intentionally. Here are two steps to help you finish strong and position yourself for the next phase:
1.Reflect and Give Thanks “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is
God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. “- 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NIV)
Take a moment to pause and reflect on the past year:
What victories did you experience, no matter how small?
What lessons did you learn from challenges or setbacks?
Gratitude shifts our focus from what didn’t happen to the many ways God showed up for us. By acknowledging His faithfulness, we open our hearts to receive more in the coming year.
- Focus on Your Vision
“Where there is no vision, the people perish.”- Proverbs 29:18 (KJV)
As we prepare for a new year, it’s crucial to define your vision.
What has God placed on your heart for the coming year?
Are there areas where you need to align your plans and aspirations with God’s will for your life?
As the common saying goes, “He who fails to plan has planned to fail already.” Now is the best time to position yourself for significant growth and achievement, and the first step is to have a vision for your life.
If you still do not know how to do this, please refer to the first two newsletters in the series, “Preparing for the New Year. “We also discussed the subject of vision extensively in the months of September and November. Do well to reflect on those resources and other relevant materials.
Task of the Week:
Take time out to write down the things you’re grateful for from this year and spend at least 15 minutes to thank God and ask Him for wisdom and direction as you step into 2025.
