Stewardship and Influence
Good day, Dear Nation Builder,
Today’s newsletter is more of a charge—a call to action. The truth is, we can’t speak of good governance without also speaking of stewardship and influence.
- You are a Steward.
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven.” — Matthew 5:16 (NKJV)
As I’ve shared over and again, I believe every single one of us has a level of influence and governing power—no matter how small. There is always something God has committed to your trust, and it is our duty to steward that “something” with intentionality and faithfulness.
Whether it’s a family, a team, a skill, a voice, a platform, or even just your time on earth—you are a steward. As believers who want to honour God and make a lasting impact, we must begin to see ourselves as stewards and our lives as channels of Kingdom influence—not just in church, but everywhere: In classrooms, boardrooms, marketplaces, and media spaces. God is counting on you to represent Him well in all that you do.
- Influence in Action
“Nobody is too small to make a difference” – David Oyedepo Jnr.
You’re not just here to exist. You’re here to lead, influence, and multiply within the scope of God’s purpose for your life. We must transition from merely talking (or complaining) about governance to living it out, positively, in the capacity God has granted us.
Ask yourself:
- What level of influence has God committed to my trust right now?
- Am I stewarding it with excellence, or am I taking it for granted?
- What kind of influence am I exerting—knowingly or unknowingly?
This is what it means to govern with purpose: to see yourself not just as an individual, but as a part of the bigger picture of God’s agenda on the earth.
My charge to you today is this: lead well and live intentionally.
Task for the Week:
Take time this week to identify the area(s) of influence you currently have—no matter how small. Then ask the Holy Spirit how you can steward that influence more intentionally.
Begin to take steps today.
Kindly share this with someone who needs the reminder that their life matters.
David Oyedepo Jnr.
