Dear Nation Builder,
Welcome to a new week of insights and impact.
This month, we had an awesome time hosting Mr. Daniel Adeniyi Metibemu—a seasoned lawyer and multifaceted businessman—who shared rich lessons on building a life and business that contribute meaningfully to nation-building.
As we unpack some of the truths we discussed over the next few weeks, I believe you’ll be inspired and equipped to keep growing, both spiritually and professionally.
Let’s begin with these foundational truth:
1. Every field has opportunity”In all labor there is profit, but idle talk leads only to poverty.” – Proverbs 14:23 (AMP)
One of the greatest misconceptions is the belief that certain industries are more ‘blessed’ or ‘profitable’ than others. The truth is: there’s no field that lacks opportunity. What often makes the difference is the presence of a diligent, vision-driven person in that field.
As Kingdom people, we must see every field as fertile ground. Whether it’s fashion, finance, farming, or filmmaking, God can breathe upon your efforts and make room for you. Your field of influence is not inferior—what matters is your approach to it.
2. Diversification is Wisdom
“Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: ‘I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go.'” – Isaiah 48:17 (NKJV)
While focus is essential, diversification is strategic. Great businesspeople don’t only have one stream of income. They’ve learned the value of expanding their influence across multiple sectors. As long as your heart is fixed on God and your hands are not idle, He can multiply your efforts in more than one area. However, we must also realize that there is time for everything.
Ask God for the wisdom to know when to focus and when to diversify—and as you grow, don’t be afraid to explore new fields under His leading.
Task for the Week:
Identify an opportunity in your current field that you’ve been overlooking. Ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to see what’s possible and take a bold step toward it this week.
Until next week,
David Oyedepo Jnr.
